Bricker, a son of Samuel Bricker, was born on May 21, 1856 at Westminister, Maryland and passed from this life very suddenly last Tuesday morning at 6:30 at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 10 days.at his home in Nodaway, Iowa. Bricker, a son of Samuel Bricker, was born on May 21, 1856 at Westminister, Maryland and passed from this life very suddenly last Tuesday morning at 6:30 at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 10 days.at his home in Nodaway, Iowa. He is the last one of his family of four brothers and two sisters, who have preceded him in death. His childhood was spent in Maryland. Later as a young man he came to Lincoln, Nebraska, where on November 29, 1883, he married Miss Martha Jane Tuliss. They made their home at Woodlawn, Nebraska, where their first son, Allen Bricker was born. The family later moved to Crete, Nebraska and during their stay at that place a daughter, Flossie was born, who has preceded her father in death on November 16th, 1891, at the age of 18 months. While making their home at Crete, Mr. and Mrs. Bicker became members of the Methodist Episcopal Church there, and later had their membership transferred to the Methodist Church in Nodaway and have been active Christian folks ever since their conversions. While making their home in Exeley, Nebraska, their third child, a daughter, Ferris Bicker was born. Mr. Bicker and family moved to Nodaway, Iowa in 1908 and have made their home in this community since that time. The greater part of Mr. Bicker's life was spent in the milling business. He was always in the best of health, a fine Christian character and leaves to mourn his sudden death, his wife, Martha at home, a son Allen Bricker at National City, California, a daughter, Mrs. Emory Lacox of Nodaway, Iowa; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as a host of friends. The funeral services were held at the Bricker home Saturday at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Wayne Emry, pastor of the Nodaway Methodist Church. Mrs. Roy Richards, Mrs. Benj Read, Roy Means, and Martin Taylor sang with Mrs. Martin Taylor at the organ. The pall bearers were Tate Taylor, Paul Kennedy, Bob Strain, Dan Strain, Marian Taylor, and Howard Shipley. Interment was made in the Methodist Grove Cemetery.
