Description	:	FERRIR EDITH LACOX Ferris Edith Lacox, daughter of Allen James and Martha Jane Tullis Bricker was born at Exeter, Nebraska on July 22, 1896 and passed away September 21, 1980 at the Bethesda Care Center in Clarinda, Iowa. They lived in Nodaway, Iowa for many years. She joined the Methodist Church in Nodaway Iowa when she was a young girl. Ferris played the piano for the church, old opera house, silent movies; she gave piano lessons and also played in the Lacox dance orchestra later on. Read More	FERRIR EDITH LACOX Ferris Edith Lacox, daughter of Allen James and Martha Jane Tullis Bricker was born at Exeter, Nebraska on July 22, 1896 and passed away September 21, 1980 at the Bethesda Care Center in Clarinda, Iowa. They lived in Nodaway, Iowa for many years. She joined the Methodist Church in Nodaway Iowa when she was a young girl. Ferris played the piano for the church, old opera house, silent movies; she gave piano lessons and also played in the Lacox dance orchestra later on. In 1915 she graduated from the Nodaway High School. On October 5, 1916, she was united in marriage to Emory Lacox, who preceded her in death on July 22, 1957; also her parents; a brother, Allen, and a sister, Flossie. Survivors include her children, Rex E. Lacox of Guss, Iowa; a daughter, Mary Palmer of Haywood, California; a daughter-in-law and son-in-law, 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Services were held Tuesday, September 23, 1980 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca, Iowa with the Rev. Clair Kerns officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Fred Berggren, organist and Mrs. Kenneth Higgins was soloist. Selections were “In The Garden,” “Old Rugged Cross,” and “Beautiful Isle Of Somewhere. Mrs. Ronald Walters was at the register book. Flower bearers were Mrs. Delmar Haley and Mrs. Dale Bowman. Casket bearers were Delmar Haley, Dale Bowman, Verne Watts, Fred Berggren, Corwin Parker, and Marion Hendrickson. Interment was at the Methodist Grove Cemetery.
