Surviving are a son, Greg, Lima; and three brothers: David (Marilyn), Bluffton, Daniel (Julie), Tipp City, and Tom (Nell), AK. Deceased is a brother, James Joseph. On Jun 2, 1951, in St. Gerard's Catholic Church, he married Norma "Jeanie" Iiames, who preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Greg, Lima; and three brothers: David (Marilyn), Bluffton, Daniel (Julie), Tipp City, and Tom (Nell), AK. Deceased is a brother, James Joseph. He was a lifetime member of the St. Gerard's Catholic Church. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He began his plumbing trade at Gast Plumbing and Heating, where he spent 16 years. He then worked at G. L. Eagy Plumbing and Heating for 10 years. In 1965, he became a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 776. In 1993, he retired from Johnson Controls. He enjoyed traveling to Florida with his wife to watch the Cincinnati Reds at spring training. His hobbies included restoring guns, spending time at the Sabre's gun club, and baking sweets for his son Greg. He loved to "tinker", always trying to make things better. He was a loving man who enjoyed life. You could always count on him to have an ornery grin on his face. He loved spending time with his family. He had a special place in his heart for his granddaughter, Mikayla and his great nieces and great nephews, Abigail, Amber, Spencer and Tyler. He touched all those around him leaving behind many happy memories. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Gerard's Catholic Church, with Rev. Jim Szboyna officiating.
