Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Fitzgerald was born on March 17, 1886, a son of Alexander and Victoria Bowen Fitzgerald. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Greenfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Callie (Mohler) Fitzgerald of Portage, Ind.; four sons, the Rev. John V. Fitzgerald, Sailor Fitzgerald, James Fitzgerald, all of Baltimore, Md., and John J. "Buck" Fitzgerald of Charlottesville; three daughters, Mrs. Lina Leisher and Mrs. Lisa Disney, both of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Dolly Trainey of Portage, Ind.; also a number of grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until 12 noon Monday when it will be placed in the church. Notes: His obituary listed his daughters' names incorrectly, it was Dolly Trafny of Portage, Ind. and Eliza Ann "Betty" Hazarik of Baltimore, Md. The date of birth listed in his obituary is incorrect. Albert was born March 17, 1879 according to his social security records. The family bible lists his date of birth as March 17, 1878. The date of death on his tombstone does not agree with the social security records, his death certificate or the family bible kept by his wife Callie. They list his death as September 22, 1967 and not September 20, 1967 as inscribed on his tombstone. In some of the census records, he was listed as "Alvesta" but was known by many as "Old Man Al". His first wife was Estelline Fitzgerald and then he married Callie Eva Mohler after Estelline died. Albert married Estelline Fitzgerald on May 14, 1901 and Callie Mohler on February 6, 1928, both in Nelson County, VA. Albert, Callie and his children moved from Nelson County, Virginia to Baltimore, Maryland about 1932 to find work and start a new life. He signed up for the WWII draft on April 26, 1942 and was living at 1114 Hollins Street, Baltimore, MD. He later moved down Hollins Street to 1004.
