Description	:	A 47 year-old bachelor was fatally injured by a train here Saturday Morning. Albert Kerner, 3 1/2 Youngstown St., died in Canonsburg General Hospital at 9 a. m. after being struck by a Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive at the Jefferson Ave. crossing at 5:45 a.m. Deputy Coroner Louis Sollon attributed death to shock and hemorrhages. Police said that the victim's groans for help were heard by Joe Jakubetz, 800 Short St., who found Kerner in critical condition and notified the police. Mr. Kerner was born October 21, 1908, at New Kensington, a son of Max and Grace Tolnitsch Kerner. He was unmarried and had been employed by the W. S. George Pottery Company, for the past seven years. He was a World War II, veteran and a member of the Labor Temple. Surviving are four brothers, Peter, George and Herver, all of Canonsburg; and Max, Meadowlands: three sisters, Mrs. Grace Campbell, and Mary, wife of John Matyas, of Canonsburg; and Hannah, wife of William Lightner, Washington. Services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the Hinton and Griffith Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. F. S. Eberle, of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Interment was in Oak Spring Cemetery.
