The body was brought to Concordia on Tuesday and funeral services were held at the Johnson home, south of Concordia, Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, Rev S.A. Fulton in charge, and burial was made in the West Branch cemetery. (also, same page, next column) Obituary Albert Lewis Johnston was born July 1, 1917, at Concordia, and died Feb. 5, 1940, at Parsons, Kan. He was the son of Arthur and Estella Johnston. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Andrews, who died in 1917. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnston, four brothers, Earl and James, of Concordia; Otto, of Bell, Calif.; and Edwin, of Salem, Ore.; and six sisters, Mrs. Clare Adkinson, of Concordia; Mrs. Myrth Christie, of Manhattan; Mrs. Eloise Odette, of Jamestown; Mrs. Margaret Bistline, of Great Bend; Mrs. Martha Cunningham, of Glasco; and Miss Mildred, of the home. He is also survived by his grandmother, Mrs. Addie Delong, of Jamestown; and a great-uncle, Frank Tulip, also of Jamestown. Funeral services were conducted at the home, southwest of Concordia, Feb. 7, 1940. Interment was in West Branch cemetery. Reverend S. A. Fulton officiating.
