Description	:	Albert was born to Hiepke and Gertruid (Rondhuis) Ludens. Albert married Cornelia H. Andreessen on Feb. 14, 1888 in Turner County First Presbyterian Church, Davis, SD. 4 children were born to this union; Hypke A., Henry A., Gertrude A. and Albert A. Albert attained the age of 68 years, 7 months and 17 days. The following is from the Lennox Diamond Jubilee Book. Albert Ludens, Sr., was born in Holland, December 26, 1866. When he was but 18 weeks of age his parents left their native land and came to the United States, locating near Clinton, Il. They resided there for 13 years and then entered Dakota Territory, settling in Turner County, four miles southwest of Davis. Mrs. Ludens, nee Cornelia H. Andreesen, was born at Hatshausen, Ostfriesland, Germany, July 12, 1863. Her mother passed away in 1875 and in 1882 her father and her sisters left their homeland and immigrated to the United States. Upon arriving in America they settled in Grundy County, IA., and after a few years in the Hawkeye state moved into Dakota territory and this vicinity. On February 14, 1888, she was united in marriage to Albert Ludens in the Turner county First Presbyterian church. Following their marriage the couple farmed for one year near Little Rock, IA., then returning to his farm two miles north of Lennox. They continued their rural enterprise until 1915, when they retired and moved to Lennox. Four children were born to this union, namely: Hypke Ludens, Henry Ludens, Mrs. Charles Zinn, and Albert Ludens, Jr. Mrs. Ludens died January 26, 1935. Mr. Ludens expired August 12, 1935.
