Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 4 Feb 1959 Mrs. Anna Frieling Died at Hospital Thursday Mrs. Anna Bernadine Frieling, a resident of Chouteau county since 1911, passed away at St. Clare hospital in this city at 3:45 Thursday afternoon. She had been in poor health the past 15 months. She was 85 years of age. Mrs. Frieling was born March 3, 1873, at Clinton, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Mr. Frieling Oct. 31, 1891, at Turner, South Dakota. Mr. Frieling came to this county in 1910, taking up a homestead in the Elim section, the family coming out to make their home the following spring. They were among the first to homestead in the Elim section, and for many years made that their home, building up a nice farm home there. The husband passed away in 1927. Mrs. Frieling continued to reside on the ranch until 1937 when she moved to Fort Benton to make her home and continued that residence until she passed away. She was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Swerdfeger, of this city and Mrs. Anna Rasmussen of Pinole, Calif.; three sons, John, Harm and Hipe Frieling, all of this area; 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Requiem High Mass was celebrated at the Immaculate Conception church at 10 a.m. on Monday. Burial was in the family plot in Riverside cemetery. The relatives have the sincere sympathy of all and in her passing this section has lost another old time resident, a good neighbor and a good friend.
