Description	:	Was born, Albert Markus Hauske Albert's mother, Anna Anderson, born September 20, 1866 on Finnoy Island in Norway, Europe arrived in America in 1884 speaking no English and without a formal education. She made her home with an Aunt living in Minnesota and that is where she met her husband, Helmik Markuson Hauske, who was from the Hauske Farm also on Finnoy Island in Norway. Read More	Was born, Albert Markus Hauske Albert's mother, Anna Anderson, born September 20, 1866 on Finnoy Island in Norway, Europe arrived in America in 1884 speaking no English and without a formal education. She made her home with an Aunt living in Minnesota and that is where she met her husband, Helmik Markuson Hauske, who was from the Hauske Farm also on Finnoy Island in Norway. Albert's father, Helmik, had an accidental death while working at a LeGrand, Iowa quarry in 1889. As a young widow of three boys, Anna placed Albert and his two brothers Martin and Helmick, at the Christian Home orphanage in Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 16, 1896. Albert left the orphanage at the age of 15 in 1903 and returned to the LeGrand/Montour area. There he met and married Louella Mae Weitzell on December 6, 1920. Together they had five sons: Arthur Lee Hoskey, b. Oct 26, 1911; Memorial #98914049 Melvin Martin Hoskey, b. Feb 17, 1913 Lawrence Alfred Hoskey, b. June 9, 1915; Memorial #6767619 Cleon Helmick Hoskey, b. Jan 23, 1919; Memorial #85611084 Norman Ray Hoskey, b. Mar 21, 1921 Papa Albert, as he was known by his family, was a lifelong farmer who took great pride in his Black Angus cattle. He was a classic example of living the American Dream. Born of immigrant parents, left fatherless at the age of two, an orphan working hard and living conservatively bought and paid for two-hundred and ten acres of land in his life time.
