Jenner, son of Wilhelm and Rose (Pfeifle) Jenner was born December 7, 1921 on the family homestead three miles south of Ashley. This is where he grew up while attending country school. He worked on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Cruicella Zelmer on December 13, 1949 in Leola, SD. They made their home on his homestead where they raised small grains and livestock. In 1980 they sold the family homestead to their son, Gary and moved into Ashley. Albert worked for Gary and Vernon Jenner as a farm hand. Over the years he slowly cut back on his farming activities eventually only helping to move machinery. In November of 2011 he entered Ashley Nursing Home. Albert liked fishing and hunting in his younger years. He enjoyed baking cookies for his grandchildren, playing solitaire and pinochle and also did find the word puzzles. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and past church council member, also a former member of the Rural Fire Department where he was a founding member. Albert is survived by his wife, Cruicella; son, Gary (Cindy) Jenner of Ashley; daughter, Judy Jenner of Bismarck; sister, Olga Kost of Ashley; sister-in-law, Alleen Jenner of Rapid City, SD; two brother-in-laws, Sam Geist of Ashley and Steve Geisinger of Bismarck; three grandsons, Justin (Steph) Jenner, Christopher (Melanie) Jenner and Jordan Jenner and six great-grandchildren, Brendan, Brooklyn, Morgan, Kendall, Sean and Jack. His parents, infant daughter, Inez, one brother, Elmer and three sisters, Ella Beitelspacher, Marion Geist and Diann Geisinger preceded him in death. Casketbearers will be Doug Jenner, Dennis Jenner, Jim Weber, Greg Weber, Don Weber and Dennis Ulrich. The organist will be Steve Glaesmann. The family prefers memorials to the Zion Lutheran Church roofing fund. Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley has been entrusted with arrangements.
