Description	:	Ashley, ND-Funeral service for Cruicella L. Jenner, 83, of Ashley will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ashley. The Rev. Zelmer, daughter of Fred M. and Hilda (Schweigert) Zelmer was born May 19, 1930 on her parents homestead southwest of Long Lake, SD. She attended country school and helped on the family farm. She then moved to Ashley to work in a café. She was united in marriage to Albert W. Jenner on December 13, 1949 in Leola, SD. They made their home on the Jenner homestead where she worked on the farm raising small grains and livestock with her husband. In 1980 they sold the family homestead to their son, Gary and moved into Ashley. Cruicella worked at the Ashley Café for a number of years, Ashley Super Valu Bakery, along with house cleaning for a number of family's. In 2009, she entered Ashley Nursing Home. Cruicella enjoyed embroidery, sewing, her flower garden and baking for her grandchildren. She had a large vegetable garden when she was able. Cruicella was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a past American Legion Auxiliary Member. Cruicella is survived by one son, Gary (Cindy) Jenner of Ashley; one daughter, Judy Jenner of Bismarck; one sister, Marcella (Edwin) Ulrich of Ashley; one brother, Melvin Zelmer of Tea, SD; one brother-in-law, Norman Franz of Bismarck; one sister-in-law, Shirley Zelmer of Mandan, three grandsons, Justin (Steph) Jenner, Christopher (Melanie) Jenner and Jordan Jenner and six great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband (11-13-2012), one infant daughter, Inez, two sisters, Bernice Schock and Arvilla Franz and one brother, Kenneth Zelmer preceded her in death. Casketbearers will be Justin Jenner, Christopher Jenner, Jordan Jenner, Dennis Ulrich, Julie Ulrich and Sue Ternes. The organist will be Steve Glaesmann and there will be a duet by Kay and Mary Ann Weber. The family prefers memorial to the Zion Lutheran Church roofing fund. Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley has been entrusted with arrangements.
