Description	:	Weekly Calistogan, April 2, 1937 A.W. Bingham Died Wednesday Morning Albert W. Bingham, a resident of Calistoga, for the past ten years, died Wednesday forenoon at the Calistoga Hospital after an illness of only about five days. He went to Oakville, about fifteen miles down the valley, last Friday to visit Edward F. Lincoln, a relative by marriage, who is very ill and not expected to live. Bingham, a resident of Calistoga, for the past ten years, died Wednesday forenoon at the Calistoga Hospital after an illness of only about five days. He went to Oakville, about fifteen miles down the valley, last Friday to visit Edward F. Lincoln, a relative by marriage, who is very ill and not expected to live. Mr. Bingham made the trip in company with Mrs. Grace Lincoln, L.J. Lincoln and Mrs. Phebe Tyler. He was apparently in good health when leaving home, but was taken ill shortly afterwards and moved to the hospital, where he gradually grew worse until he passed away. Death was due to gangrene as the result of an injury to his foot sixty-five years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Bingham came out here from Carrolton, Ill., the first time following the death of a brother, Eugene L. Bingham, about fifteen years ago, and visited another brother, Edward T. Bingham, for a while. They made a couple of trips out here and then came to stay about four years later, following the death of Ed Bingham. Mr. Bingham was a native of Illinois and aged 88 years the day previous to his death. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Laura Greene, and a niece, Miss Mira Greene, both of Carrolton, Ill., and a niece, Mrs. Gertie Achenbaugh, of Rockridge, Ill. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from A.H. McArthur's Funeral Parlors and interment will be made in the Calistoga cemetery, beside his wife, who passed away on June 16th of last year.
