They had two children during their marriage. Bertha M. Syfert, 83, Hillsboro, died Saturday, July 23, 1960, at 10:45 p.m. in Memorial Hospital. She has been ill for the past several months. The daughter of William and Josephine Sturdevant Page, she was born July 24, 1877, at Bonaparte. She spent her entire life in Hillsboro. She was married to George W. Boley on Sept. 28, 1898. He died July 10, 1931. She was married on June 8, 1937, to Edward Syfert, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1940. Mrs. Syfert was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church, Missionary Society, a charter member of the Royal Neighbors of America, and American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving is a son, Russell Boley of Bloomfield; one daughter, Mrs. Derr King of Hillsboro; two brothers; George Page of Bonaparte and John Page of Hillsboro; four grandchildren: David and Carol Ann Boley of Bloomfield, Darlene Gilbert of Farmington, and Willard King of Ft. Madison; eleven great-grandchildren. Her parents, one brother, and two sisters predeceased her. She died on July 23, 1960, in Hillsboro, Iowa, at the age of 82, and was buried there. Contributor: Christine King- Bowker (49265750) Bertha M. Syfert, 82, just 4 days before her 83rd Birthday. Services were set for Tuesday, July 26, at 2:30 p.m. in the Baptist Church in Hillsboro.
