Llewellyn Graham for Mrs. Edward Nicholson, who died suddenly at the Rosamond Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 5th, following a comparatively short period of ill health. She was in her 71st year and her maiden name was Alberta May (Bertha) Switzer. She was brought up in the Ashton district and had been a resident of Almonte for upwards of 50 years, most of the time as an employe of the Rosamond Woolen Co. Limited. The late Mrs. Nicholson was well-known and was a faithful member of St. Paul's Church. A host of friends called at the Kerry-Scott Funeral Home, during the weekend where the body was resting and there were many at the church for the service. In 1937 Miss Switzer married Edward Nicholson who predeceased her in 1942. Only cousins survive, among them Mr. and Mrs. Mason Forgie of Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Johnson of Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Melville W. Jennings, Ottawa and Mrs. Susan Wilson and Mrs. W. Beedie of Brockville. Pallbearers were: Messrs. R. J. France, Geo. M. Dunfield, John C. Smithson, Geo. E. Gomme, D. W. Snedden and Morley Alexander. Contributor: Gary J Byron (49329383)
