Description	:	AlBertha Koop, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Koop, who was taken to the Webster City hospital early Thursday morning of last week suffering from tetanus, passed away about six o'clock the following Friday evening, May 25th. On Friday, a week previous, she stepped on a nail but at the time the injury appeared trivial. The girl was not sick at all, until about two o'clock Thursday morning. Read More	AlBertha Koop, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Then lockjaw developed and she was taken to the hospital and everything possible was done for her but unavailingly. AlBertha Koop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Koop, was born at the farm home 7 miles northwest of Jewell, December 28, 1914 and died May 25, 1928, aged 13 years, 4 months and 27 days. She was one of a family of twelve children, of whom two of her brothers, Wiebrend [Wiebrand] and Calvin, have previously passed away. She is survived by her father and mother, six sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Samuel Huisman of Barron, Wisc., Mrs. Joe Rigter of Kamrar, Mrs. Wm. Naber of Ellsworth, Fred, Eka, Jeanette, Wilma, Paul and Andrew all of whom are at home. Both of her grandmothers also are living, Mrs. W. J. Koop and Mrs. Fred Welp, both of Kamrar. The funeral was held Monday of this week, at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 o'clock at the German Presbyterian church a mile north of their home. The pastor, Rev. H. Sinning of Kamrar, and former pastor, Rev. H. N. Gerdes of Grundy Center, officiated. Interment was made at the church cemetery beside her two brothers. At the service music was furnished by a quartet, and her Sunday school class also sang. The pall bearers were cousins, Edward Smid, Hans Koop, James Greenfield, John Greenfield, Aaron [Arend] Greenfield and William Smid.
