Description	:	Mrs. Albertina Jodrey 1938 Bridgewater Bulletin On June 11th, Mrs. Albertina Jodrey, widow of the late Asaph Jodrey, passed away at her home in Sweetland. She was a daughter of the late John and Eleanor Veinotte, of Maitland, Lunenburg County, who had reached the age of eighty-five years. Her husband passed away one year ago, and since then was tenderly cared for by her son, Obed and family. Read More	Mrs. Albertina Jodrey 1938 Bridgewater Bulletin On June 11th, Mrs. Albertina Jodrey, widow of the late Asaph Jodrey, passed away at her home in Sweetland. She was a daughter of the late John and Eleanor Veinotte, of Maitland, Lunenburg County, who had reached the age of eighty-five years. Her husband passed away one year ago, and since then was tenderly cared for by her son, Obed and family. Although in failing health for a number of years,she was confined to her bed only one month before her passing. She is survived by four sons, Obed, at home; Theophilus, Sweetland; Prescott, Chester Basin; and Austen in Bethel, Maine; one daughter, Harriett (Mrs. Thompson), Saint John, New Brunswick; and one sister, Mrs. Ellen Eichel; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A member of Christ Church (Anglican), she attended the services of her church and supported it when her health permitted. The funeral took place on the 14th, when a large circle of relatives and friends attended. After a service at the house the remains were taken to Christ Church, where the full service of the Church of England was taken by the Rev. H.M. Elliott. The hymns sung were "Now the Labourer's Task is O'er," "Forever With the Lord," and "Peace, Perfect Peace." The body was then laid to rest in the cemetery near the church beside her husband.
