"Mr. Girard was born in Montreal, Canada, on Nov. 15, 1875, and after moving to Chico had farmed north of Chico for a number of years. "In 1945 Mr. Girard moved to Durham and established his home and engaged in farming with his son. "Mr. Girard, a widower, is survived by the following children: Mrs. Roma Barnes of San Francisco; Mrs. Alberta Motta of Livermore; Hilary Girard of Los Angeles; Alvin Girard of Sacramento; Mrs. Rita Johnson of Los Gatos; Adrian Girard of Durham, and Mrs. Carmelita Cobb of San Francisco. In addition to his children, Mr. Girard is survived by a brother, Ephriam Girard, of Montreal, Canada. "Recitation of the Rosary will be conducted in the chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home Friday at 8 p.m. Saturday morning at 10. Requiem Mass will be offered at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
