Christian F. Gugel officiating. Alda Helen Minnie Ahrens was born May 14, 1914, on the family farm west of Osage, the daughter of Richard and Alma (Frese) Ahrens. She was baptized June 7, 1914, and confirmed on August 25, 1929 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Osage. Alda married Elroy Krahn on January 8, 1935. They had four children. Christian F. Gugel officiating. Alda Helen Minnie Ahrens was born May 14, 1914, on the family farm west of Osage, the daughter of Richard and Alma (Frese) Ahrens. She was baptized June 7, 1914, and confirmed on August 25, 1929 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Osage. Alda married Elroy Krahn on January 8, 1935. They had four children. Elroy passed away October 10, 1956. On August 6, 1977, Alda married Claus Clausen from Mason City, and they lived there until his death December 12, 1993. Later, she moved back to Osage. Alda loved to cook, take care of her family and spend time with her grandchildren. Alda is survived by her children, three sons, Richard Krahn and wife Rosalie of Osage; Gene Krahn and wife Katrene of Osage; and Ronald Krahn and wife Suzanne of Nora Springs; daughter, Myrna Hoisington and husband Howard of Orchard; 11 grandchildren; one step granddaughter; 14 great grandchildren four step grandchildren; a brother Earl Ahrens of Osage; four step children, Delmar Clausen and wife Violet; Janice Atkinson, Donna Lawson and Magie Nashiem, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and an infant sister, Erna. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Globe Gazette, Saturday June 7, 2003
