Description	:	A graveside service for former Issaquah resident Alex L. Enberg, 97, of North bend were held December 19 under direction of Flintoft's Issaquah Funeral Home. Mr. Enberg died at the North Bend Nursing Center on December 17, 1991. He was born on January 24, 1894 in Bodin, Sweden, one of 13 children. He moved to the United States in 1913 and became a citizen while he was in the army during World War I. Mr. Enberg worked as a logger in Preston and High Point and later as a coal miner. He was born on January 24, 1894 in Bodin, Sweden, one of 13 children. He moved to the United States in 1913 and became a citizen while he was in the army during World War I. Mr. Enberg worked as a logger in Preston and High Point and later as a coal miner. Around 1934 he started the Log Tavern in Issaquah and later the Eagles Tavern in partnership with George Stonebridge. Mr. Enberg married Faye Mable Thompson in 1948. She preceded him in death on March 9, 1988. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing on Lake Sammamish. He was a charter member of the American Legion in Snoqualmie. Mr. Enberg is survived by five children, Roberta Bush, Robert Thompson, Jean Beeton, Hugh Thompson and Maxine Doherty, all of Issaquah; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren. and two nieces and nephews.
