Funeral service is at First En glish Lutheran Church with Rev. Lohn M. Johnson officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery. Karg was born Dec. 28, 1901, in Alexanderdorf, Russia, to German parents Samuel and Anna (Stark) Karg. He came to the United State in 1904 with his parent, who settled in Sterling. Karg was born Dec. 28, 1901, in Alexanderdorf, Russia, to German parents Samuel and Anna (Stark) Karg. He came to the United State in 1904 with his parent, who settled in Sterling. Karg attended Sterling schools and farmed in the area for a year. In April 1923 he married Thersa Batz in Windsor. She died May 9, 1970. He then moved to Cheyenne,Wyo., and worked for Union Pacific Railroad before going to work on the Wyoming Hereford Ranch. He lived in Cheyenne from 1924 to 1929. Karg then moved to Merino and on to Crook, where he farmed until retirng in 1965. He moved to Sterling in the early ‘70s. On June 13, 1976, he married Nora C. Hobson in Sterling. Karg was a member of First English Lutheran Church, the Senior Citizens Club and American Asso ciation of Retired Persons. Survivors include his wife of Sterling; two sons, Elmer of Crook and Herbert of Merino; a step daughter, Lavonne Duncan of Sterling; a stepson, Keith Allen Hobson of Sterling; two brothers, Samuel and William Karg, both of Sterling; six grandchildren, 11 great-grand children, six stepgrandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. Chaney-Walters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
