Description	:	Husband of Mary Isabell Giesler Obit from the Belle Times-- Alexander Clark Thompson was born near Bland, Mo., Sept 1, 1858 and passed away at his home in Belle, Mo., Feb 28, 1928, age 69 years, 5 months and 27 days. He was the second youngest son of Johnathan and Mary Thompson. He married Miss Mary Giesler Jan. 30 1881, who still survives him. To this union eleven children were born, 8 sons and 3 daughters. He was the second youngest son of Johnathan and Mary Thompson. He married Miss Mary Giesler Jan. 30 1881, who still survives him. To this union eleven children were born, 8 sons and 3 daughters. One daughter and two sons preceded him in death. One son, James Frederick Thompson, was killed in that cruel World War. Of this shock the father never fully recovered. Those left to mourn his departure are his faithful wife and eight children, namely Mrs. Sibbie Willson of Belle, John, Willie and Ray also of Belle; Robert and Otto of Bland; Mrs. Katie Goodman of Summerfield and Thomas of Jefferson City; and a host of other friends and relatives are left to mourn his death. When 20 years of age he united with the Church of Christ as what was known as the "Old Flame Church" in Maries Co. In later years he moved to St. Aubert in Osage Co. and placed his membership in that church. In 1902 he came back to Belle and was one of the charter members of Christian work in the Belle Church of Christ, having served almost 50 years in Christian work. He was a kind husband and loving father, and a good neighbor. Although a sufferer for many years he was patient and kind hearted.
