Alexander Hyndman, Who formerly Lived In This City, Passed Away at Denver, [Colorado], Following an Operation. . Alexander Hyndman, for ten years a resident of this city, where he moved from his farm near Cumberland, died last Monday evening at seven o'clock in Denver, his present home. The death followed an operation at a Denver hospital on March 3, 1916. The funeral party is expected to reach this city on March 8th [?] in the evening. Arrangements for the funeral have not been made as of yet. . Deceased leaves a wife and four children to mourn his death. They are George Hyndman of Cumberland, who was present at the bedside of his father, Mrs. Porter of Denver, Will Hyndman of Cumberland and Mrs. Agnes Pollock of Delphos [?], Ohio. He was 83 years of age at the time of his death. Mr. Hyndman left Atlantic about five years ago for Colorado, after living in this city for ten years. (Page 3 of 8). . SEVERAL WILLS FILED YESTERDAY. [Re: Will of Alexander Hyndman]. . The will of Alexander Hyndman was also filed yesterday. It provides that after all debts and funeral expenses are paid, the real estate and personal property with several exceptions be left to his wife, Jane Hyndman. After her death the sum of ___ is to go to his granddaughter, Beth May Day; $250 [?] to the Board of Foreign Missions of the U.P. [United Presbyterian] Church; and $250 to the Board of Home Missions of the U.P. Church. The remainder of the estate is to be divided equally among the children, George A. Hyndman, William J. Hyndman, Agnes M. Pollock, Lena B. Hyndman and Mary Ann DeForce [Divorce?]. In case of the death of the latter, he leaves her share to his granddaughter, Beth M. Day, with the exception of $500 [?] which shall be divided among the children. He requests that H.M. Boorman [?] be the attorney, provided he is in practice at that time. Geo. A. Hyndman and Jane Hyndman are appointed executors of the estate without bond. The wittnesses are Bert L. Butler, W.D. Lowe, and Beulah Harden Brook [?]. The will was drawn up March ___, 1910 [?]. .
