Mr. Flint made his home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Flint, at 520 Hartman, in Missoula. He was born March 13, 1910, in Moscow, Idaho. When he was seven he moved with the parents to Troy. When the family came to Phillipsburg he attended local high school. He attended Washington State College at Pullman and Montana State University, where he graduated in forestry. His forestry job was in Phillipsburg and he was later transferred to Coeur d’Alene. In 1939 he became ranger in the Butte district. He served five years with the Army, seeing active duty in the African, Sicilian and Italian campaigns in World War II. On returning from Army duty he worked for the forest service at Libby and in July of this year was transferred to Missoula. Mr. Flint was an ardent hunter and fisherman and came each year to Philipsburg to hunt and fish with his friends. He was a member of Butte Masonic Lodge; Royal Arch Masons at Libby; Elks Club of Sand Point, Idaho; Rod and Gun Club of Libby; and American Society of Foresters, and of SAE Fraternity at Montana State University. Surviving relatives are his parents of Missoula; a brother and sister-in-law, Lt. Col. and Mrs. Curtis Flint, Oxburg, Germany; a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Clinton of Manhattan; niece, Vickie Clinton, Manhattan; four nephews, Fred, Bob and Bill Flint, Oxburg, Germany, and Dennis Clinton of Manhattan; uncle and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Boohr, Spokane and Mrs. Martin Ward, Seattle.
