Three or four days before his death he walked over to a neighbor's and was not considered as dangerously sick until the evening before ills death. At first he was thought to have the grip but the physicians afterwards concluded that the later symptoms indicated the breaking of an internal abscess which might have resulted from the injury Mr. Noble received when thrown from a horse last November. Mr. Noble's funeral was held this forenoon at the Lutheran church at Prairie Hill. His remains were interred in that cemetery where the the remains of two daughters. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. R. N. Earhart of Monticello. The deceased is survived by his widow, two sons and four daughters, all of whom were at the funeral. Mr. Noble was about 67 years old at the time of his death. He was a native of Canada and had resided in Castle Grove township about 25 years. He was a gentleman of the strictest integrity and probity of character who enjoyed the respect of his acquaintances and the unbounded love of his family. Jones county has lost one of its best citizens.
