Description	:	Alfred Foster Jordan Jr., of Union, SC, died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at the Skyline Place Health Center in Spartanburg after an extended illness. Born in Union on October 10, 1938, he was a son of the late Alfred Foster Jordan, Sr. and Elizabeth (Jones) Jordan. Former co-owner, with his brothers Louis and Marshall, of Jordan's Ace Hardware Inc, he was also the former owner and operator of Sure Loans and Sure Checks. Born in Union on October 10, 1938, he was a son of the late Alfred Foster Jordan, Sr. and Elizabeth (Jones) Jordan. Former co-owner, with his brothers Louis and Marshall, of Jordan's Ace Hardware Inc, he was also the former owner and operator of Sure Loans and Sure Checks. Mr. Jordan was a 1956 graduate of Union High School, attended Clemson College his freshman year, and graduated from Wofford College in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant, was a former Jaycee, previously served on Union City Council and as a director on the Chamber of Commerce board. He was a life member of Lodge 1321 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and a member of First Presbyterian Church where he previously served as a deacon. Survivors include: a brother, Louis and his wife Beverly of Union; a paternal aunt, Isabel Jordan Baarcke of Union; a sister-in-law, Frances Sibert Jordan of Spartanburg; four nephews, Louis Merriman Jordan Jr. of Union, Foster Timmons Jordan of Chapin, Marshall Morgan Jordan of Spartanburg and George Brown Sibert of Spartanburg; and two nieces, Marsha Jordan Hathcock of Union and Bonnie Sibert McAlister of Mount Pleasant. His brother, Marshall, predeceased him. Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Presbyterian Cemetery.
