Rabe Alfred Henry --- Alfred Rabe died suddenly Thursday afternoon of a heart attack. He and Mrs. Rabe were on the way to Holstein to visit their friends. It was a great shock because he had always been in good health. Alfred Henry Rabe, son of the late Henry and Mary Hauseman Rabe, was born in Sac County, north of Odebolt, Dec. 7, 1890 and passed away March 26, 1953 at the age of 62 years, 3 months and 19 days. On Dec. 7, 1922 he was united in marriage to Bertha Ewoldt of Wall Lake. To this union were born two children, Marvin, of Arthur and a daughter, Mrs. Hillman Reinhart of Odebolt. His wife died on June 22, 1935. On March 7, 1946 he was married to Amelia Bennet of Schleswig, who was with him when he died. He leaves to mourn his wife, Amelia, and daughter, Mrs. Hillman Reinhart, and his son, Marvin, a step-daughter, Mrs. Sidney Carstensen, of Odebolt, and seven grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. August Fett, of Storm Lake and a brother, Ralph, and a host of relatives and friends. Burial was in the Odebolt cemetery with Robert Einspahr, Tony Rosberg, Adam Roeder, Lyle Worley, George Else and George Teaquist as pallbearers.
