Description	:	Alfred Schweer, 80, of Tripoli, Iowa, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at his winter home in McAllen, Texas, of natural causes. Alfred was born on May 13, 1924, in rural Tripoli, Bremer County, Iowa, the son of Herman and Minnie (Redies) Schweer. Alfred was baptized on June 8, 1924 at St. John's Crane Creek and confirmed on April 10, 1938, also at St. John's Crane Creek (verse: Psalm 16:11). He attended country school in rural Tripoli. Alfred was born on May 13, 1924, in rural Tripoli, Bremer County, Iowa, the son of Herman and Minnie (Redies) Schweer. Alfred was baptized on June 8, 1924 at St. John's Crane Creek and confirmed on April 10, 1938, also at St. John's Crane Creek (verse: Psalm 16:11). He attended country school in rural Tripoli. On February 17, 1946, he was united in marriage to Alene A. Koschmeder at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Readlyn. Alfred farmed for many years, and enjoyed spending the winter months in Texas since January of 1982. Alene died on October 27, 2001. Alfred was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Crane Creek of rural Tripoli. He is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Phyllis and Frederic Krumwiede of Clarksville, Dr. Janet and Duane Kehe of Readlyn, Doris and James Wehling of Readlyn; one son and his wife, Richard and Claudia Schweer of Oelwein; twelve grandchildren, Sherri (Jim) Kayser, Wayne (Pam) Carolus, Troy (Stacy) Carolus, Darin Carolus & Jessica Donlon, Kara Kehe, Kendra Kehe, Kevin Kehe, Anna (Jarod) Weepie, Laura (Marty) Stow, Sara (Brian) Phillips, Rachel (Jeremy)Page, and Ryan Schweer; eleven great grandchildren, Anna Kayser, Ben Kayser, John Carolus, Elizabeth Carolus, Courtney Carolus, Coltin Carolus, Makenna Donlon, Andrew Carolus, Morgan Weepie, Nora Page, and Austin Page; two brothers, Donald Schweer and Larry (Linda) Schweer all of Tripoli; and three sisters, Gertrude (Stanley) Buhrow of Tripoli, Leona (Dale) Heath of Grundy Center, and Arlene Bunger of Tripoli, and one brother-in-law, Erwin Koschmeder of Tripoli. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Alene. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli, with Pastor Miles Renaas and Pastor Robin Brown officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Crane Creek of rural Tripoli. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1st from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly and also for an hour before services at Grace Lutheran Church. Memorials may be directed to American Heart Association or donor's choice and condolences may also be left at www.kaisercorson.com
