Biographical Information: Alice was the daughter of Allen E. and Florence E. Underhill Carson. She graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1938. Alice then completed Cosmetologist School at Venice Beauty Academy of Wichita. On January 1, 1941, she was united in marriage with George Wm. Kohls at the St. Johns Lutheran Church, Lyons Creek. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1986. Mrs. Kohls was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church. Alice was very active in the community; Past-President of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 12, past member of the VFW Auxiliary, Home Extension Unit, Telephone Association, and a Charter Member of the Tri-County Historical Society of Herington. She liked to travel and enjoyed playing cards. Survivors: Two Daughters: Patricia Barrett and her husband Ron of Wakarusa, Missouri Barbara Jenkins and her husband Cecil of Blue Springs, Missouri One Son: Wm. Buster Kohls of Kansas City, Missouri One Brother: Wm. Bill Carson of Herington, Kansas Thirteen Grandchildren Twenty Great Grandchildren Two Great Great Grandchildren Preceded in Death: Husband: George Wm.
