Bell Acheson Feb 28,1864-July 30,1919 Alice, daughter of Ambrose and Isabella Bell, was born in Columbus City, Ia., February 28th, 1864 and died at her late residence in Alliance, Nebraska, July 30, 1919. Aged 55 years, 5 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage to W. S. Acheson at Alliance, Neb., October 14th, 1888. To this union were born two children both whom survive, namely Mrs. A. C. Aged 55 years, 5 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage to W. S. Acheson at Alliance, Neb., October 14th, 1888. To this union were born two children both whom survive, namely Mrs. A. C. McDonald and Miss Nellie, both of Alliance. Many years ago sister Acheson gave her heart to God and united with the Methodist Episcopal church and has been not only a consistent member, but a very devoted one. By her life she has inspired many another less earnest Christian to deeper devotion to Almighty God. She was one of our most valuable leaders. She commanded the respect of all who knew her, and was deeply loved by those who knew her best. Her loved ones were very dear to her, and naturally learned to lean hard on her for comfort and leadership. She leaves to mourn her early demise a devoted husband, two daughters, one brother, Geo. Bell, Greeley, Colo., one sister, Mrs. John Burton, Bingham, Nebraska, besides other relatives and hosts of friends. Funeral services were held from the residence on Cheyenne street by her pastor H. E. Wright. The music was beautifully rendered by Mr. C. D. Lively accompanied on the piano by Prof. Allen R. Knesge of the Ohio State University, Athens, O. The Alliance Herald, Aug. 7, 1919.
