Description	:	Alice was born 17 March 1899 in West, Marshall, Indiana, the second of 11 children of Charles Sell (1873-1955) and Mary Angeline Anders (1880-1918). Alice’s siblings were: Sherman Eustace, George Eldred, Leonard Lawrence, Mary Feye, Mable Clare, Annie Ethel, Susan Edith, Eunice Eldora, Ellen Leona, and a baby brother who died shortly after birth in 1918; Alice’s mother Mary died soon after. Read More	Alice was born 17 March 1899 in West, Marshall, Indiana, the second of 11 children of Charles Sell (1873-1955) and Mary Angeline Anders (1880-1918). Alice’s siblings were: Sherman Eustace, George Eldred, Leonard Lawrence, Mary Feye, Mable Clare, Annie Ethel, Susan Edith, Eunice Eldora, Ellen Leona, and a baby brother who died shortly after birth in 1918; Alice’s mother Mary died soon after. A story told by Alice’s brother Leonard to his grandchild was that their mother Mary was in a buggy accident while she was pregnant with the little boy and, as a result of the accident, the little boy was born prematurely. One day shortly after giving birth, their mother was in the yard gardening and asked the children to keep watch on the baby, as he had been fussy since birth and to let her know as soon as he started to cry; they did, but the baby died. Mary died of kidney trouble, brought on by her buggy accident, and some suspect, having the trauma of giving birth and losing her last child. Alice was married twice. Her first marriage was to Sidney Thomas Busby in 1916 in Stevens County, Washington. Thomas was born 17 December 1892 in Centralia, Lewis, Washington. Alice and Sidney had a daughter Doris Aileen. Alice and Sidney divorced some time after 1940. Sidney died 30 April 1954 in Colville, Stevens, Washington. Alice's second marriage was to Homer Harold Holden 11 March 1943 in Seattle, Washington. Homer was born 11 July 1894 in Platte, Charles Mix, South Dakota, the oldest of five children of Alice Frances Melcher (1874-1935) and Henry Douglas Holden (1871-1910). According to his World War I Draft Registration Record, Homer was of medium height and medium build, with gray eyes and dark brown hair. His occupation was listed as an Inspector with the Burroughs Adding Machine Company in Spokane, Spokane, Washington. He later went to work as a Chemist with the Fisher Flour Mill Company in Seattle, King, Washington,, where he worked for over 20 years. Homer was previously married to Ingeborg Sofia Olsson 31 December 1921 in Seattle. Ingeborg was born 12 November 1898 in Gotland, Sweden, the daughter of Carl Jon Olsson (1869-?) and agnes Josephina Hoffman (1876-?). Ingeborg came to the United States with her parents in 1913, where they settled in Seattle. Homer and Ingeborg had three children: Genevieve, Harold, and Thomas. Ingebord died 10 March 1933 in Seattle, Washington. Following their marriage, Homer and Alice settled in Colville, Washington. Alice died 3 August 1974 in Colville, Washington.
