Description	:	Funeral Card: Alice G. Case, daughter of Jesse and Hattie (Pierce) Goad, was born Oct. 19, 1898 in Osborne County, KS. The daughter of a farming family, she received her elementary schooling in the County Schools and High School in Covert High School at Covert, KS. She also taught for two terms of school. This union was blessed with two sons, David and Jerald. They were... Read More	Funeral Card: Alice G. Case, daughter of Jesse and Hattie (Pierce) Goad, was born Oct. 19, 1898 in Osborne County, KS. The daughter of a farming family, she received her elementary schooling in the County Schools and High School in Covert High School at Covert, KS. She also taught for two terms of school. On April 10, 1920, Alice was united in marriage to Harvey Stearns Case. They established their home on a farm north of Paradise, KS where they lived until moving to Russell in 1969. This union was blessed with two sons, David and Jerald. They were always proud of their sons and their accomplishments. They each served their country four years in World War II. Having been converted and baptized in the Victor Brethren Church in early life, Alice and her family worshiped there for many years, participating in the church and Sunday school functions. After moving to Russell, she worshiped at the Bible Baptist Church. Her husband, Harve was stricken with a stroke in Feb. of 1952, and this left him almost helpless. She cared for him in their home until his death on Dec. 17, 1979. This cross she gladly carried. Alice answered the summons for her Master on Feb. 16, 1990 at the Nursing Home in Lucas, KS. Her age was 91 years, 3 months, and 27 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harve in 1976; son David in 1970; and son Jerald in 1984; two brothers, three sisters and a daughter-in-law Edna.
