Description	:	On Saturday, March 12, 2016, Alice I. Keime, passed away at the age of 102 at her daughter's home in Broomfield, CO. Alice was a longtime resident of North Platte but in recent years was living in Colorado with her daughter. Alice was born October 5, 1913, to Will and Rose Stegeman at Aurora, NE. She grew up in Chappell, NE and graduated from Chappell High School in 1931. Read More	On Saturday, March 12, 2016, Alice I. Keime, passed away at the age of 102 at her daughter's home in Broomfield, CO. Alice was a longtime resident of North Platte but in recent years was living in Colorado with her daughter. Alice was born October 5, 1913, to Will and Rose Stegeman at Aurora, NE. She grew up in Chappell, NE and graduated from Chappell High School in 1931. Alice attended Kearney State Teacher's College to earn her Teaching Certificate then taught for 10 years in Nebraska, teaching in the counties of Duel, Garden and Cheyenne. On May 19, 1941, Alice was united in marriage to James Parkeson 'Parkie' Keime at St. Francis, KS and made their home on a farm south of Ovid, CO. In 1947 they moved to Maxwell, NE where Parkie farmed until 1954. The family later moved to North Platte and were members of the First Baptist Church. Alice worked as a seamstress at Schwesers for 32 years from 1954 to 1986. Alice and Parkie were married for over 55 years when he passed away in 1996. Alice then moved to Hastings, NE, in 1998 to be near her daughter, Marilyn; in 2004 she moved to Lincoln, NE, to live with her daughter, Barb; and in 2011 she moved to Broomfield, CO to live with her daughter, Jane, and be closer to her son, Jim. She loved to work in her yard and care for her flowers and vegetable garden. Alice was a die-heart Nebraska Cornhusker fan all her life and loved to cheer for the Denver Broncos. She never thought she would live to be 100 but Alice did better than that when she set the family record for being the oldest living member at the age of 102 years, 5 months and 7 days. Over the many years she was thankful for her good health and mind as well as her loving family and many friends. Alice is survived by her children and spouses, Jim and Bev Keime, of Parker, CO, Jane and Ambrose Trujillo, of Broomfield, CO, Marilyn and Denny Bruntz, of Hastings, NE, and Barb Kavan, of Lincoln, NE; and 14 grandchildren and spouses, Debbie Kraft, Terry and Julie Keime, Brent and Lia Keime, John and Shelley Trujillo, Christine Trujillo, David and Wannette Trujillo, Ben and Tara Trujillo, Tony and Andrea Trujillo, Desi Trujillo, Todd Russell, Shannon and Mark Kent, Sam Bruntz, Darren and Diana Bruntz, and Troy and Tammie Bruntz. Survivors also include 31 great-grandchildren and spouses, Kelsie and Nick Kelso, Samantha Kraft and Matt Williams, Alex Keime, Noah Keime, Joey Keime, Litha Keime, Thunder Keime, Sparrow Keime, Fox Keime, Marco Trujillo, Anisa Trujillo, Katon Dennis, Alexis Trujillo, Tyler Trujillo, Belle Trujillo, Maddox Trujillo, Turner Trujillo, Zoey Trujillo, Olivia Trujillo, Mercedes Russell and Zach Boden, Jaden Russell, Wyatt Russell, Erik Hayes, Ashley Kent, Taylor Kent, Ryan Bruntz, Kevin Bruntz, Daniel Bruntz, Devonn Bruntz, Spenser Bruntz and Shay Neuhaus, and Trenten Bruntz; 7 great great-grandchildren, Linken Kelso, Emma Kelso, Alex Kelso, Kaleb Boden, Dezmond Hayes, Zayda Hayes and Serenity Bruntz; her brother, Bob Stegeman; sister-in-law, Bernice Keime; and many nieces, nephews and other family. Along with her husband, Parkie, Alice was preceded in death by their infant son, Jerrold Ray; great-grandson, Brady Kraft; son-in-law, Larry Kavan; parents, Will and Rose Stegeman; a sister, Mabel Brake; and brother, Bill Stegeman. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore. Burial will follow in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of the arrangements.
