Description	:	Daughter of George and Mary Ellen (Kleffman) Fong. In 1934, she married Lowell Wade of Elwood. He preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Bob Wade of Johnson Lake; daughter, Marilyn Dawson and her husband, Myron, of Elwood; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and three stepgrandchildren. She was born at the family farm, which was in the Turkey Creek area south of Elwood. She attended the Robbins country school through the eighth grade and then graduated from Elwood High School. Alice and Lowell lived their entire lives in the Elwood area, where they farmed and raised Hereford cattle. She was an active farm wife and helped Lowell all along the way. She was active in the Elwood Christian Church and enjoyed many years of fellowship at the Elwood Senior Center, being there when it was opened. She and Lowell loved to travel and were avid Nebraska football fans and attended many bowl games in their retirement years. She was a 4-H leader and belonged to the neighborhood HOA Club. She lived the last five years at Elwood Assisted Living, enjoying the company of all who lived there. She was a fun-loving person who enjoyed playing cards and just being with people. Her laughter will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lowell Dennis Wade; grandson, Lowell Chad Wade; daughter-in-law, Barb Wade; sisters, Gurnie Frazell, Inez "Peggy" Lervig, Mabelle McGraw and Eunice McGraw; and brother, Wesley Fong.
