Description	:	Alice LaVonne McNace, age 84, of Boone, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Alice was born in Boone, Iowa, on November 11, 1932, the daughter of Raymond and Marie Brown. She graduated from Boone High School in 1950. On December 13, 1952, she married William McNace in Boone. Alice was a bookkeeper, teller, and worked in the loan department at Boone State Bank. She retired in 1984. Alice enjoyed traveling, watching the Golden Girls and loved watching her kids play ball. She is survived by her daughter, Janelle Vickers of Boone; daughter-in-law, Terry McNace of Van Meter; four grandchildren, Jeffery Vickers of Boone, Mindy Vickers of Boone, Stacy Peterson and husband, Mike, of Van Meter and David McNace and wife, Lauren of South Bend, Indiana and three great-grandchildren, Landon, Christopher and Haylee.
