Read More	Lois Crain, age 86, of 1327 Boone Street, died August 1, 2010, at the Ogden Manor in Ogden. Lois was born in Boone on September 5, 1923, the daughter of Raymond and Emma Brown. She married Clarence Crain in Hammond, Indiana, on January 18, 1947. Lois was employed by Inland Steel in East Chicago, Indiana, as a cook for the company's executive dining room. She lived most of her life in Highland, Indiana, and Mesa, Arizona. For the past two years, she has lived with her niece, Janelle Vickers in Boone. She enjoyed playing pinochle, reading, crocheting, and doing crossword puzzles. Lois especially enjoyed Danielle Steel novels. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Ron, four sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by her sister, Alice McNace of Boone and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were August 7, 2010 at the Linwood Park Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Thomas officiating. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa, Boone branch.
