In 1982, she became a Great-Grandma for the first time, and in 1986 for the second time. She had a happy life, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and many other crafts. She survived two strokes and two falls, which resulted in two broken hips. She was a real survivor! She lived in Nursing facilities for several years. She was hospitalized in late 1993 for Pneumonia, and passed away in January, 1994. She was loved and is missed very much! We love you, Grandma! ∼Alice Cuddy Robinson, a former Fruita resident, died Sunday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver after a brief illness. She was 86. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today in the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Robinson was a retired registered nurse. She was a resident of Denver for most of her life. She was born October 19, 1907, to Tom and Sara Goss Cuddy in Fruita, where she spent her childhood and graduated from high school. She received her nursing degree from St. Mary's Hospital Nurses' Training. She married Francis Robinson in Denver. He died in 1981 in Pasadena, California. She previously was married to Russell Klinzman. He died in 1969. Mrs. Robinson lived in Fruita, Denver and Pasadena before returning to Denver. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Robinson enjoyed needlework. Survivors include a daughter, Lila Stalzle of Denver; a brother, John Cuddy of Fruita; two sisters, Ellen Smith of Rifle, and Leola Springer of Grand Junction; two grandchildren, Steve Stalzle and Susan Ryan, both of Denver; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brownson Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 2804, Grand Junction 81502.
