The Rev. M. L. Blake, pastor, officiated at the rites and burial was in Cottonwood cemetery here. Mrs. Hucka, the former Alice Mary Johnson, was born April 15, 1872, in Detroit, Mich. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson. She moved with her parents from Detroit to a farm near Lake City when she was six years old. In 1891 she was married to Charles Hucka. Mr. Hucka died Jan. 25, 1948, and her parents and four brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving her are three children, Fred, Richard and Mary, all of Lake City. Mrs. Hucka was always interested in civic affairs and was active in many community projects. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Lake City and was active in its Women's association. She had many friends, both young and old, who were drawn by her quiet, gentle and loving spirit. She loved to do for others, and she helped to rear two families because of her love for children.
