Description	:	Alice was the daughter of Eugene & Mary (Stevens) Brush. Her mother died on January 25, 1890. After the death of their mother, Alice and her siblings lived with other family members. It is not known why their father, Eugene Brush, didn't raise his children. In the 1900 census she was living with her cousin Nellie Marble Hoy and her husband Thomas Hoy in Hill City, South Dakota. In 1926 Alice married Thomas Hoy, who was the widower of her cousin Nellie. Mrs. Hoye Funeral Slated Monday KEYSTONE - Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Brush Hoye, 71-year-old former long-time resident of Keystone, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Keystone Congregational Church, Rev. Rew Walz. Rapid City, will officiate, The Keystone Lodge of the Eastern Star will conduct graveside rites, and burial will be in the Keystone Cemetery under the direction of Behrens Mortuary, Rapid City. Mrs. Hoye died in Sheridan, Wyo., Thursday. She had moved there from Keystone eight years ago. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. B. N. Peterson, Keystone; and two sisters, Mrs. Carson Reynolds, Sheridan, Wyo., and Mrs. Lila Uhlig, Los Angeles, Calif.
