Description	:	Funeral services for Alice Britt were held Saturday, April 14 at 10 a.m. at the Congregational Church in Creighton with Rev. Olin Belt officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Stokes, Joe Radosti, Jim Breece, Reg Green, Loyd West and Dick McManigal. Mrs. Alice Britt, a longtime resident of Creighton, daughter of the late E.A. Roemer and Ida Roemer was born February 14, 1896 at Hampton, Ia., where she attended grade school until 1908, when she moved to Cherokee, Ia. and later to Yankton, S.D. with her parents. Mrs. Alice Britt, a longtime resident of Creighton, daughter of the late E.A. Roemer and Ida Roemer was born February 14, 1896 at Hampton, Ia., where she attended grade school until 1908, when she moved to Cherokee, Ia. and later to Yankton, S.D. with her parents. The family moved to Creighton in 1911, where she graduated from high school with the class of 1913. Following graduation she was a bookkeeper in her father's hardware business in Creighton until 1928, when she was united in marriage to Cladwell T. Britt. She was a member of the Congregational Church for 73 years, a member of the Eastern Star, having served as Worthy Matron, a charter member and past president of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW, the Royal Neighbors and a charter member and past president of the Creighton Women's Club. Alice served as librarian of the Creighton Public Library from October 1, 1937 to December 31, 1977, sponsoring a story hour for the children every summer. Survivors include one brother, Damon Roemer of Glendale, Ca. and nieces and nephews in California and Arizona and other relatives in Hampton, Ia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cladwell T.
