Native American of North Cheyenne Tribe Burial: 16 Nov 1988 Aliwitchie Carlot ASHLAND -- Aliwitchie Fisher Carlot worked in Portland, Ore., during World War II in the shipyards. She returned to the reservation after living in Washington and Oregon and worked as tribal secretary for her father's administration as tribal president for Norther Cheyenne Tribe in the 1950s. She also worked for BIA in Lame Deer for several years and Guild Arts & Crafts Factory in Ashland. She again moved to Seattle and lived there for several years and returned to the reservation in 1973 and has lived in the Ashland area since. She enjoyed beadwork, cooking, traveling throughout Montana and enjoyed visiting family and friends. She was also an excellent seamstress. She especially loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. Mrs. Carlot, 69, died of natural causes Sunday at a friend's home. She was born on a homestead in Fisher Butte on the Birney Divide south of Lame Deer, a daughter of Eugene and Kitty Belle Spang Fisher. She attended school in Lame Deer and Colstrip, graduating from Colstrip High School. Survivors include three sons, Charles Tallbull of Ashland, Nelson "Beaver" Tallbull Jr. of Billings and Wayne Tallbull of Browning; two daughters, Patricia Tallbull of Muddy Creek and Mrs. Calvin (Roxanne) Wilson of Busby; one adopted daughter, Leola Whiteman of Lame Deer; a brother, Russell Fisher Fisher of Lame Deer; a sister; Virginia Amsden of Chandler, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lame Deer. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday also in the church. Burial will be in Fisher Butte Cemetery, south of Lame Deer. Rausch Funeral Home, Lame Deer in charge.
