Allen married Betty Bittner on March 31, 1956 in Huron, SD Allen was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ. He enjoyed woodworking, puzzles, attending auctions, and watching the Minnesota Twins. Allen loved to spend time with his family and friends. Grateful for having shared in Allen’s life are his wife, Betty of Huron, SD; daughter, Deb Olson of Huron; six grandchildren: Michael (Brandi) Olson, Kelli Frank, Jennifer (Martin) Wagner, Matthew (Laura Frank) Olson, Brittany (Casey Jacobs) Olson, and Brianne (Casey Ciffra) Olson; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene Olson of Huron, SD; sister Donna Johnson of Tucson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; his son David in 1997; five brothers, and one sister.
