Description	:	HARTLAND - Allen E. Butler, 53, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, in Hartland, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Hartland on Dec. 18, 1957, at Scott Webb Memorial, the son of Ernest Butler Jr. and Priscilla Butler. Allen graduated from Nokomis Regional High School with the class of 1976. Butler, 53, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, in Hartland, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Hartland on Dec. 18, 1957, at Scott Webb Memorial, the son of Ernest Butler Jr. and Priscilla Butler. Allen graduated from Nokomis Regional High School with the class of 1976. Allen was a police officer for the town of Pittsfield from 1982-1987 and attended the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Waterville from 1986-1987. In 1985-1988, Allen was employed at C.M. Almy in Pittsfield as a raw material clerk. In 1988, he worked at the Irving Tanning Company and was a receiving manager and worked with recyclable leather and shipping. He had also been an employee for Sebasticook Valley Health Care Facility, working in maintenance and transported residents to their appointments. He was recently employed at Sonoco Products Company in Pittsfield as a machinist. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Tucci Butler, of Hartland; son Jacob Butler of Hartland; stepdaughter Giavanna Ruth Tucci; daughter Heather Butler Shaw and husband Richard of Hartland; brother Philip Butler and wife Valerie of Plymouth; two sisters, Rhonda Southard of Hartland, and Cindy Webber and husband Kenny of Pittsfield; father Ernest Butler Jr. and stepmother Dottie Butler of Hartland; mother Priscilla Butler and companion Carl Tash of Hartland; two grandchildren, Charlee Ann and Odell; nieces Dayna Butler and Taylor Butler; mother-in-law Hilda Tucci and her fiancŽ, Larry Johnson, of Rockland; his best friends, Richard Tucci of Portland and Pastor Tom and Lori Duperry of Pittsfield; and many more special friends. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Extension, Route 152 in Hartland. (Morning Sentinel 11/20/2011)
