From the Marriage Records of Frederick County, Maryland: "Allen George Fisher, 22, to Cora May Miller, 21. Married December 6, 1886." Obituary for Allen George Fisher from the Frederick News of Monday, February 20, 1950: "Allen G. Fisher, well-known retired farmer of Creagerstown, died Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at his home after an illness of over a year of complications, aged 86 years. Mr. Fisher died on his birthday. He was a son of the late John M. and Mary Valentine Fisher. His wife, Mrs. Cora Miller Fisher, predeceased him by eight years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Creagerstown, and served on the church council for a number of years. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Nellie Fisher and Mrs. Roy Hankey, both of Creagerstown. Two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. The body will be taken to the late home this evening where friends may call until time of the funeral Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the residence, conducted by Rev. E. Koontz Helwig. Interment will be made in Creagerstown Cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors." Funeral notice for Allen George Fisher from the Frederick News of Thursday, February 23, 1950: "Funeral services for Allen George Fisher, Creagerstown, who died at his home Sunday morning, were held Wednesday at the late residence, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Koontz Helwig, officiated. Pallbearers were, Frank, Lowell, and Edgar Long; Glenn, Earl and Martin Putman. Interment in Creagerstown Cemetery, M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors."
