Obituary for Cora May Miller Fisher from the Frederick Post of Thursday Morning, August 13, 1942: "MRS. ALLEN G. FISHER. Mrs. Cora May Fisher, wife of Allan G. Fisher, died Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. at her home in Creagerstown. She had been ill several hours, having suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Tuesday morning. She was aged 76 years, two months, and 19 days. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Lavina Routzahn Miller and was a well-known resident of Creagerstown. She was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Creagerstown. She is survived by her husband, twodaughters, Mrs. Estelle Hankey and Miss Nellie Fisher, both of Creagerstown, one brother, Frank Miller, Middletown, Delaware; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will take place from the late home Friday morning at 10:30 with her pastor, Rev. F. R. Seibel, Jr., officiating. Interment in the Creagerstown Cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, Thurmont, funeral directors." Funeral notice for Cora May Miller Fisher from the Frederick News andthe Frederick Post of Saturday, August 15, 1942: "The funeral of Mrs. Cora M. Fisher, wife of Allen G. Fisher, who died on Tuesday night at her home at Creagerstown was held on Friday with services at her late home at 10:30 o'clock. the services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. F. R. Seibel, Jr. Pallbearers were grandsons [sic, should read 'nephews'], Glenn Putman, Lowell Long, Earl Putman, Frank Long, Martin Putman. The interment was made in Creagerstown Cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors."
