Description	:	Allie Thiel, age 94, died December 30 at Life Care Center of Ritzville. The daughter of Alexander of Stefania Petrowski Kalin, she was born February 20, 1909, in Aberdeen. She graduated from high school there in 1927, and then attended Washington State College graduating in 1931, with a degree in English. Upon graduation from college she taught school at Pateros and then Brewster before accepting a teaching position in Ritzville in 1935. She met Aaron R. The daughter of Alexander of Stefania Petrowski Kalin, she was born February 20, 1909, in Aberdeen. She graduated from high school there in 1927, and then attended Washington State College graduating in 1931, with a degree in English. Upon graduation from college she taught school at Pateros and then Brewster before accepting a teaching position in Ritzville in 1935. She met Aaron R. Thiel, and they were married June 3, 1927, in Spokane. They made their home on the Thiel family farm near Ritzville. Through the years she taught all grades, K-12, and in later years worked for the school district as a librarian in both the grade school and high school. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Ritzville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron, in 1983. Graveside services were held on January 3, at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery with the Father Uche Obisike officiating. The family asks that all donations be made in Mrs. Thiel's name to St. Agnes Catholic Church. Danekas Funeral Home, Ritzville, was in charge of arrangements.
