Alma Carola Morman was born June 3, 1922 at Mission, Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Morman. In 1927 the family moved to Coon Rapids from Wentzville, Mo. Alma attended Annunciation school and graduated from Coon Rapids High School with the class of 1940. She attended business college in Sioux City and worked as a secretary in the Sioux City Iron Works. After leaving there she worked for a time for a cosmetic company in Brooklyn, N. Y., and then in Des Moines. She became ill in 1945 and entered Mercy hospital where she was a patient until Sept. '45. After a year at home she returned to Mercy, where she died Saturday. Alma was a popular and capable girl and leaves many friends and a large family group to mourn her passing. She is survived by her parents, one sister, Leona, of Des Moines, and four brothers, Fred Morman of Mandan, N. Dak., Clarence Morman of Carroll, Leo F. Morman of Marquette and Lawrence Morman of Coon Rapids. She was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin, B-17 pilot, who was killed in action over Germany in 1945. Friends and relatives from out-of-town attending funeral services at Annunciation church for Alma Morman were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Trecker, Pete Trecker, Theo. Trecker and Leon, Mrs. Wm. Carpenter, all of Templeton. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Trecker of Roselle, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Trecker, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Shorer and son of Halbur. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Reisberg of Dedham; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Trecker of Anthon, Mr. an d Mrs. F. J. Halbig of Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dozler and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Pulver of Bayard, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Macke, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Macke, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Macke, all of Mullen, Nebr., Carl Peterman of New Salem, N. Dak., Adeline George of Sioux City, Mary and Martin Dozler of Templeton, Jack Horbach of Manning, Mr. and Mrs. George Masching of Carroll, Mrs. Garrett VanDen Brink of Bayard and Carl Rasmussen of Jefferson.
