Description	:	Alma Lea Barrans passed away on August 4, 2012 at the age of 79. She was born the daughter of George Albert and Edna (Clarke) Parker on January 14, 1933 in Chewelah, WA. Alma Lea attended and graduated from high school in Chewelah, Class of 1950. She met Delmar Barrans in 1944, and the two were married on June 14, 1951 in Chewelah, WA. Read More	Alma Lea Barrans passed away on August 4, 2012 at the age of 79. She was born the daughter of George Albert and Edna (Clarke) Parker on January 14, 1933 in Chewelah, WA. Alma Lea attended and graduated from high school in Chewelah, Class of 1950. She met Delmar Barrans in 1944, and the two were married on June 14, 1951 in Chewelah, WA. Alma Lea and Delmar pastored for 57 years throughout Washington, Idaho, Arizona, and British Columbia. Following ministry, Alma Lea supported Delmar's mission trips by keeping a home base before Delmar became the pastor at the Kettle Falls New Beginnings Fellowship Church in 1994. In her spare time, Alma Lea enjoyed volunteering her time with the church's soup kitchen, tending to her flowers and garden, constructing puzzles, playing skip-bo with her grandchildren, and spending time with her loving family. More than anything, Alma Lea was a prayer warrior for others and her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Alma Lea was preceded in death by her son, Terry Barrans. She is survived by her husband Delmar at the home; children Rob (Karen), Auburn, WA; daughter-in-law Carla Barrans, Renton, WA; Tim (Deborah), Kent, WA; Ted (Tami), Enumclaw, WA; Russell, Newtown, PA; Tamra Johnson, Beaumont, CA; grandchildren Timelle, Terry Jr., Tim, Tanya, Tiffany, Chris, Matt, Chris, David, Taylor, Alli, Samantha, Tessa, Rachael, Brittany, Natalie; five great grandchildren, sister Deanna Rae Grubb, Chewelah, WA; Sister in law Marie Parker, Pendleton, OR; Brother in law Rex Barrans and wife Mable, Chewelah, WA; sister in law Stina Barrans, Juno, AK; sister in law Alice Lindemulder, Columbus, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services for Mrs. Barrans were held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Colville Assembly of God Church with a graveside service following at Pioneer Cemetery on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in Chewelah, WA.
