She was born October 9, 1913, at Hayesville,, the daughter of Alfred and Eunice Hankins Hedges. She married Eugene Jacobs in Sigourney March 14, 1934. She lived in Keokuk county most of her lifetime. She was born October 9, 1913, at Hayesville,, the daughter of Alfred and Eunice Hankins Hedges. She married Eugene Jacobs in Sigourney March 14, 1934. She lived in Keokuk county most of her lifetime. She was a graduate of Ottumwa high school and attended Capital City Commercial college in Des Moines. She had been employed as the Christian church secretary for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Moose and Eagle Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Donaldson of Oskaloosa; her mother, Mrs. Frank Otten of Ottumwa; one sister, Mrs. Shirley Dusing of Ottumwa; two brothers, Rex Bowerson of Bloomfield, and Keith Bowerson of Omaha, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Sigourney Christian church, with the Rev. Kirby Fuller, officiating. Burial was in the Bethel cemetery.
