She was born at Union Square 73 years ago, daughter of William and Mary Fancey. Read More	Alma Muriel Whynot 1971 Bridgewater Bulletin The community of Upper Cornwall was shocked amd saddened on Saturday, June 26, to hear of the passing of Alma Muriel Whynot, widow of Everett Whynot, at Blanchard Fraser Memorial Hospital, Kentville, after only a few hours of illness there. She was born at Union Square 73 years ago, daughter of William and Mary Fancey. As a small girl, she came to live at Upper Cornwall where she resided until the passing of her husband in 1969 when she went to reside at Kentville where she had since remained. She was a good and kind neighbour always ready to help others. The welcome mat was always out at her home and although she had no children of her own she was a mother to many children in the community who will always remember her kindness to them. She is survived by a foster daughter, Edith, Mrs. Murray Richard, Kentville and a brother, Cecil, New Germany. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a step brother, Arthur and stepsisters, Christie, Etta, Della, and Lou. Burial took place on Tuesday, June 29, from Upper Cornwall Union Church of which she was a member with the Rev. James Crooks officiating. Interment was in Union Square Cemetery. Hymns sung were "How Great Thou Art" and "What A Friend we Have in Jesus." Pall bearers were Frank Fancy, Frank Veinotte, William and Rodger Demond, Willis Fancy, and Charles Whynot.
