Description	:	Alma Schultz was born in English township, August 5, 1889, and died in the hospital in Rochester, Minn., March 4, 1919 at the age of 29 years, 6 months and 29 days. When a young girl she moved with her parents to Pilot township, Iowa. In 1904 she was confirmed in the Reformed Church in Pilot and had been a faithful member until her death. Read More	Alma Schultz was born in English township, August 5, 1889, and died in the hospital in Rochester, Minn., March 4, 1919 at the age of 29 years, 6 months and 29 days. When a young girl she moved with her parents to Pilot township, Iowa. In 1904 she was confirmed in the Reformed Church in Pilot and had been a faithful member until her death. In 1907 she was married to Joseph Smith, when they at once moved to their home in Lincoln township where they since resided. Her health began failing last July, so they were advised to go to Drs. Mayo at Rochester, Minn., which they thought was the best place. On September 22, she, in company with her husband, went there and a ligation for a goitre was performed in October. On the 22nd of October she was able to come home. She then took pneunomia, following the influenza and was very ill, but recovered from that and gained strength. On the 17th of February she and her husband went back to Rochester and on the 3rd of March the operation was performed; she rallied from this but on the 4th of March she passed away at 7:25 o'clock. The body was brought back to her parent's home, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schultz. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and sister and neighbor. Her only thought was always about her children and she was loved by everyone that knew her. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Joseph Smith, three children, Edna age 10, Alice age 7, Leonard age 5, a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schultz, three brothers and three sisters, John Schultz of Millersburg, Henry and Carl of Pilot township, Mrs. Edward Koehn of Millersburg, Frances and Olga at home, and by a lot of other relatives and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. The funeral services were held at the Reformed Church Friday at one o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. S. Elliker. The pallbearers were her three brothers John, Henry and Carl Schultz, and the three brothers of her husband, Charles, Herman and Fred Smith. The interment was in the adjacent cemetery.
